This is my creation this semester. I was in a book arts class and my teacher wanted me to create an interesting shaped book. I had a really hard time at first coming up with an idea, because I didn't want some dumb shaped book at the end of the semester. I thought about it for a long time, cause nothing was coming to mind at first. One day, while showering (where lots of inspiration comes to me) I thought of a box that would have the recipes attached to the lid. Sounds weird, I know. I thought it was clever, since I was making a book, but it would also be a box and therefore a recipe box. haha.
So I used my Grandma Bette's recipes, hence the name "Bette's Best." I think it turned out pretty cool. So thanks for the recipes Grandma!

what a clever idea. i love it! now you cant lose your recipes. Sophie is getting so BIG! i cant believe i still havent had a chance to see her, argh. im feeling much better, but now i have a sickie, so we'll have to catch up when we're healthy. maybe over the holidays if you guys are staying around.
